  • 4.2 straight six triple carb engine
  • 4 speed manual gearbox
  • Metallic maroon with biscuit interior
  • Chrome wire wheels
  • Uprated brakes
  • Good luggage space behind seats, but on view
  • Room for small persons in the back - rear seat belts fitted

Nice car to drive with gearbox development giving an easier change than the earlier roadster. Also being a f.h.c. the car feels very solid.

1966 saw the introduction of the 4.2 engined model, along with better braking, and much improved all synchro gearbox. The trim and seats were also improved, but to some the original buckets seats were more comfortable.

In 1968, the 2+2 was introduced, with 9 inches extra wheelbase, and extra height, gave a chance of two small rear seats, or larger luggage space – probably the more popular option. Actually, the extra glass and space, make these cars less claustrophobic than the straight 2 seaters, but the overall look, some say, is spoilt.
